PREM

PREM stands for Patient Reported Experience Measures and measures the patient's experience of and satisfaction with healthcare.

The experiences, perceptions, and feedback of patients and their families constitute an important source of knowledge in the hospital's improvement and development efforts. Through patient surveys, patients are provided with the opportunity to share and respond to questions regarding their experiences and perceptions of healthcare. The results should then be used to enhance and develop healthcare from a patient perspective.

PREM, not PROM

PREM should not be mistaken for PROM (Patient Reported Outcome Measure), which focuses more on health status and quality of life in connection with a treatment the patient has received or an operation they have undergone. Read more about PROM here.
