Nursing Management Program 2026
Information
About the event
Our Nursing Management Program provides a close look at how nursing leadership works in practice and how it can grow in today’s complex healthcare environment. The program combines practical insights with broader perspectives, giving you space to reflect, learn, and bring new ideas back to your own team.
A program built around four core focus areas
The Nursing Management Program 2026 is structured around four focus areas. Together, they form a comprehensive framework for developing nursing leadership that is both strategic and grounded in clinical reality.
🧭 Leading change in healthcare
Healthcare is in constant transformation, and leadership plays a critical role in navigating complexity. This focus area explores how change management, innovation, and leadership come together in practice. You will gain insights into improving quality of care, building resilient teams, and working systematically with competence staffing to support sustainable development and better patient outcomes.
🚀 Shaping your career path
Leadership is also a personal journey. This part of the program supports your continued professional development by strengthening your ability to lead, influence, and grow in modern healthcare systems. You will reflect on your leadership role, explore tools for continuous improvement, and develop strategies to move forward with clarity and purpose in your career.
🔍 Tailored job shadowing
A defining element of the program is the tailored job shadowing experience. You will take part in focused visits to Karolinska University Hospital’s wards within your specific medical or clinical area. This allows you to observe clinical practice, team dynamics, and leadership in action – providing practical insights that are directly relevant to your own specialty and context.
👥 Nursing leadership in practice
Building on earlier sessions, this focus area connects leadership to everyday practice. You will explore how to lead teams in changing environments, support nursing practice, and encourage collaboration, trust, and clear responsibilities within your organization. The focus is on leadership that works in practice and supports both people and daily operations.
Who should attend?
