Club foot

For Club foot the Ponseti method is the choice of treatment.

Clubfoot is one of the most common birth defect. 1 in 1000 children are born each year with a clubfoot this is often present at your child`s birth or during pregnancy. One or both feet appear to turn inward and pointing down.

There are no special symptoms in the newborn child. The feet are turned inward and pointing down.

The diagnosis is made by ultrasound during pregnancy or/and clinical examination after birth.

With careful and highly precise treatment through your child´s infancy, the feet can be properly aligned, allowing your child to walk normally and have a good function of the foot/feet. We are doing gentle manipulation and serial castings. After casting the treatment continues in FAB (Foot Abduction Brace) / Ponseti brace. Our team specializes in treating this condition. We are using the Ponseti method. This method is the global choice of treatment.
